Haven’t seen that thing in a while - this is what really got me into higher end keyboards even though I’ve never owned one of these. Still looks amazing almost 3 years later

Completely agreed. Found it recently for about $100, brand new, from an online thrifter with tons of other stuff. Box had never been opened and I thought why not. It really reminded me of a modern version of a classic keeb I grew up with, just a ton more solid. Modding it brought me back to having to repair terminal keyboards in the mid/late 90s.

Thank you! It feels quite lovely! I spent about 8 hours on it modding the case, soldering, lubing and filming the switches, and such. It's my main now and hits the need :-)

Keyboard: Abkoncore AR87 with solderable PCB, aluminum plate
Switches: Cherry MX Blacks, lubed and filmed with Durock films
Mods: Small film of sorbothane in the bottom of the case, clipped and modded stabilizers (plate mount), force break between top and bottom case with thin washi tape.
