So I got a NiZ Micro82 in last week with 45g switches, bluetooth + RGB model.

I'd read about EC / Topre switches on here before but after buying dozens of mechanical keyboards and built a couple, trying various switches, lubes, stabs, plates, foam, tape mod, pe foam etc etc I took this out the box and it sounds just as good as a fully modded board! And the switches are a joy to type on.

I really think these have ended my mechboards addiction I've already sold 2 of my others this week so I can buy a Realforce R2 with real Topre switches in...

Anyone else find that EC switches are their endgame?

Yes, a good quality dome with slider like Topre is one of my favorite feeling switches. Particularly with dampeners on the upstroke since the dome itself already dampens the bottom out. But my biggest issue is that I like custom boards and custom capacitive PCBs are not easy. So while I have an old Realforce and I love the switches, I never use it. Someday I would love to build a custom Topre style dome with slider keyboard. Either getting a working PCB and controller for the capactive sensing or possibly using a different sensing method like hall effect.

Topre is my endgame. HHKB Hybrid Type-S and Realforce PFU 45g are my favorite boards of all time. Even my wife prefers the sound and feel of Topre for her work.

Have you looked into Noxary keyboards? They’re a are British case designer for Topre models. I got a XRF for my Realforce and the sound is even nicer than before.

Just got my Hansung GK868b (Niz Atom 68 but with Cherry Stabs) two weeks ago. It’s end game. I can’t use anything else.

Enjoy your pillowy thock. I’m enjoying mine!
