I have a Q2 precisely because it was good out of the box. But as someone who hasn’t modded or anything - what am I missing out on by keeping everything as it came?

I think hippio did a good video on what can be done reasonably with it... https://youtu.be/q5A3sR-W9-E

I've got a Q1 and, though it's not the same board, I did the force break and tempest mods to it because the board sounded kinda hollow and metal pingy, and now I'm happier than anyone with it

Yeah I put my first keeb together and did sound tests comparing it Tempest Tape Modded and Stock and it makes a massive difference. Maybe do the Holee mod or Band Aid mod to the stabs or just lube them yourself.

What are those caps?
bukakerooster OP t1_iub1xod wrote
They are the stock caps from that colorway

Very nice! I so want that colorway in that set. I just received the OEM version but I prefer the Keychron OSA profile.
I got a Q5 a few months ago and it sounded and felt great. I started replacing the switches and trying out various keycaps and profiles.

My first board was a Q2. Absolutely love it.
