Hey everyone! Those of you on r/keycapdesigners may have remembered me posting some scuffed renders of a certain Chainsaw inspired set about 6 months ago. Well, thanks to a lot of valuable feedback and the help of the fine folks at Kono, this dye-sub PBT Group Buy launches today! Base kit is $80, novelties are $32! This set pulls inspiration mostly from our Chainsaw hero's manga as when I worked on the design, the anime had not aired yet but I did my best to pull from promotional materials and what I could glean from trailers so it really is the best of both worlds for fans of both!
Colorway inspiration for those interested! The Base Kit Does include everything seen above
- The bright blue being homage to Fujimoto's pop art style covers and the blood splatterings of devils (although that changes depending on the devil, i wanted a catch all). However, it's also meant to represent the optimism and general humor in the story overall.
- Red is pulled from numerous different characters such as the blood devil, our Chainsaw hero, and lots of other instances of the color
- Orange is pulled from the color of the Chainsaw hero's head and his doggie friend
- Black is for the dark themes and the general bleakness represented in the story as well as characters represented with black like our resident topknot.
- My biggest changes from the original are the harsh blue on red which was a lot and I actually made some personal prototypes and it was just as bad there. The other was changing the alphas to blue on black!
Novelties include staples of the series like blood splatters for devils and others, the famous fox hand gesture, the eyes of some of our best girls (although I think we all know the infamous blood fiend is the best), some horns, the public safety tie, a ripcord, a cigarette, a chainsaw, some barrettes for everyone's favorite anxiety-riddled lady, peace hands which can be seen throughout the story, some onomatopoeia from the manga when our hero revs his engine, and.... has our titular hero's head been cut in half? (Due to licensing purposes, we could not include his whole head or his oh so cute devil dog from my original designs). As you can see, you get a ton included with your novelties, so don't be shy!

Additional group buy items??? We got em! first up is a matching desk-mat designed by yours truly that featured a lot more of your hero of hell ripping and tearing thru the mat. It's a really nice compliment to the keycap set!

Finally, we've got two, count em, two, artisans! They'll artisans allow you to battle it out for best girl in style. These are both absolutely gorgeous to me and personally the only part I haven't really gotten to see until recently because I do not have a lot of experience with 3D rendering so the team really helped my vision come to life!

I hope all my fellow fans will join as well as folks who just like the colorway! my goal with working with Kono was to make this as accessible as possible with pricing while also providing a cool, quality set that doesn't have a huge turnaround time! I know anime fans are used to waiting for figures and blu ray releases but I don't want to make you all wait super long!
