Not a fan really but it looks more like a stovetop burner knob to me

Unpopular opinion: knobs on devices tend to look similar because they are designed for the same constraints.

after using the keyboard for few weeks, I kinda don't mind it. Besides, it's my first 'real' keyboard I guess.

Nothing wrong with that! I actually haven't heard too much about these... but I'd be interested to hear what it's like when it's modified.

Why would you make a washing machine knob that doesn't say the exact temperature? Clothing labels never tell me "wash in lukewarm water", instead it's always like "wash in 40°C".

RiboNucleic85 t1_itp6rel wrote

Right? I labeled my washing machine dial with stuff from the manual, Temperature, Timing and Weight/Capacity

Honestly I really like it

What is the knob on the keyboard for?

Looks like it's to switch between different connected devices.

In fact the whole keyboard looks like a washing machine

Am I the only 40% wacky keyboard idiot that thought "well shit having a washing machine dial as a mode selector would be the icing on the cake on my next keyboard"

freakminded t1_itp1ion wrote

With the right Keycaps this can be a dope board

RiboNucleic85 t1_itp70kr wrote

I can perhaps understand the uses of a dial but i don't find them aesthetically pleasing on a keyboard, i guess I'm just not used to it

lazycuber t1_itpb2fs wrote

Waste of knob imo, could've been a volume wheel, but they tried to be different and use it as a device switcher which they already do using Fn+Q/W/E on their other boards

triadwarfare t1_itpnfr9 wrote

You guys still use dials for washing machines?

I have never seen any front loading washing machine that still use dials... the only ones I see with dials are the cheap twin tubs.

check out this Nagare80, I actually like the design a lot, too bad it's one of those limited edition raffle thing (and is pretty pricy)
