Yes, I ordered a Keychron Q1 V2 yesterday on amazon.ca. It arrived today and when I opened the box it was a GMMK Pro with a Blue Cat keycap set and Gateron Browns.

So the keyboard was on sale as amazon warehouse deals, but in the description it only said there are some imperfections on it, that is it.

How is this even possible? I feel like someone bought this keyboard, and returned the box with GMMK Pro keyboard in it. Or someone messed up at the warehouse. I am very confused right now.

So my question is should I send this back, or keep it since the value of this keyboard must not be too too bad considering it came with a decent set of keycaps and gateron browns. Is fully assembled Keychron Q1 more valueable than GMMK Pro?

edit: sorry the switches are cherry mx brown

Send it back. The Q1 is a much better board.

GMMK Pro is miles lower than a Q1. Definitely send it back. Doesn’t matter what it comes with. Also don’t buy keyboard stuff on Amazon. Tbh Amazon is more likely to scam you (like in this case) than actual keyboard vendors. Divinikey, ASHKEEBS, Keychron’s website…

I’d send it back, the Q1V2 is an actually good board.

That’s a good story. Mine was that I ordered a “like new” Pro from the US Amazon warehouse and when it came it would turn on but wouldn’t register the key presses. So I took it apart and found that someone had reassembled it with the cable to the daughter board reversed. When I turned the cable around it worked fine.

As for keeping it, if you like it with the caps and brown switches, I’d say keep it. The Keychron boards are ok, but I don’t think they sound as good as a Pro, although it’s possible you might like it more.

Yeah amazing stuff really. I actually talked with the customer service, they refunded it without return so I keep the keyboard.

And after that I decided to take it apart to see if there was any mods in that thing because I kinda knew that someone returned this somewhat used keyboard instead of a Keychron to scam Amazon lol. And I was right, there was an extra foam in it and also was taped heavily. But it actually sounds pretty good to me, "thocky" if you will lol.

Yeah, mine had extra foam in it, too. Anyway, congratulations on your free keyboard!

Someone stuck a GMMK Pro in a Keychron box and returned it and the person who received the return would on no level have known the difference between the two keyboards.

The real question is, how many times are we going to post about minor shipping mistakes on this sub before it implodes on itself like a dying star
