I love this and want to see more! Is that a 3d printed case? Is the board a kit/PCB, or hand wired?

It’s a Corne v3. You can buy them assembled through some vendors but for the most part you have to solder the diodes, leds, hotswap sockets, and microcontrollers yourself. And yes, it’s a 3D printed case I designed that fits over and between the standard acrylic plates that places like keyhive sell for it. I’d be more than happy to share the STL file for the case, for you or anyone who is interested!

That is fantastic, you nailed that aesthetic. The carry loop built into the case is a great idea and I'd like to get a look at the STL if you don't mind sharing. I've been using a viterbi for work and I've been eyeing a lily58 or iris for my next board. I've heard good things about the corne, but don't know if I can give up my number/symbol row.

Thanks! :)

I made a Thingiverse for it.

Both of those are solid boards! It was easy for me to give up the number row, because I layered a numpad into the layout that's mostly 1:1 of a normal 10-key. I have a lot of 10-key muscle memory so I find it actually easier to use than a regular number row, but that's all very subjective!

Would be sick with futuristic cyber punk type baggy pants, one clipped on each side at the belt for some quick typing needs. Hacking and what not. Maybe just a dumb fantasy, but I could see it.

This was the vision I had also, but seemed more practical on a bag. Cyberpunky/High tech low life/utility kind of ready to go whenever aesthetic

So cool, you wrote the net runner also? Handwriting / fon't is on point!

You think so? I did write it, but my paint marker was getting chewed up by the surface of the case and I could barely get the NET part in haha
