I found these old keycaps at work one day and thought I'd share them.

Upon first glance they look like they're Cherry MX compatible but the stem is too large and interferes with the switch top housing. I compared them to my Akko SAL profile keycaps which are pretty similar. Any ideas/thoughts what switch these caps are compatible with and what from? My guess is some CNC terminal just from the legends but not sure.

Didn't think about that but now that you've mentioned it. It does look rather soft!

100% agree. The only thing I can fault the quality on is the the wonky bottoms which seem to droop in places (see 3rd image). But besides that the quality of the legends and plastic is significantly better. I really want to mod them to fit Cherry stems but dont know if its possible :(

You can probably sand/file down the stem diameter, so that they fit cherry top housings. Seems possible.

That's an excellent idea! I might have to try this. Do you think it will affect the structural integrity of the stem much?

Should be fine as long as you do not take too much off. Standard stems are quite durable, so i think a sanded down vintage one would be equally strong. Better try it with a single keycap you can afford to loose though. Keep us updated. The vintage caps look dope!
