I assume the case is 3D printed?

You can start with the ID75 from Amazon. And then just start disabling keys on it to get down to 40%

The BM40 is a good way to go if you're ok with the 2u spacebar layout. It's a great keyboard that can be built for not a lot of money and can be used with QMK or VIA. There's a few options for aluminum cases from KP Republic and you can print something if you want to go that route.
