Keychron K series are quite cheap in my opinion, but only compared to more premium entry level custom stuff like the Q1, Akko Mod 7, or other aluminum offerings from companies like Novelkeys or KBDFans. The aluminum frame is very thin and the bottom is still plastic so it doesn't sound great, and modding did not have much of an effect in my experience (I picked up a K4 about a year ago, tried adding tempest mod, switch pad foam and case foam and it still sounds IMO too loud and just kinda nondescript). It is a good starter board to help figure out what you like though. I generally recommend prebuilt Ducky Ones as peoples' first boards in to the hobby, if they're not sure what they want.

So is the aluminium frame worth it or not really?

I don’t think so. The K series is a budget tier, if you want the sound benefit of aluminum I would go full CNC aluminum. Then if you decide on a board there will be guides or sound test videos on various mods and you can decide what will make it sound best.
