Remembering an entire alphabet layer without a visual guide is just very difficult.

As somebody who also employs the greek alphabet you can always bind alpha to the A key, beta to the B key, Gamma to the G key and so on.

Sure, but not every Greek letter has an easy analogue and a few of their names start with the same letter. Ultimately, it would just be best to have bilingual keycaps to create a guide.

Just try to use this as a template for the greek layer and buy the keycaps when they're available (these are GB only usually but sometimes are in stock, also look at r/mm).
