The aesthetic is great but typing with them is quite tiresome because they are so tall. But maybe it's just my problem...

Definitely not just you. Started with an Akko board with ASA caps. Loved the sound and thick/thock, but I stumbled so freaking much. Tried Cherry/XDA/OEM and like them all much better, and want to try DSA since the smaller surface seems to be easier to find. Cherry has been my favorite so far. Currently trying out some MT3, since they were on a $25 sale for the Captain America ones, and they seem to be a happy middle. Not quite as tall, but I don't stumble too much, and kinda digging the sculpted feeling.

I haven't build a custom keyboard yet, but maybe this week all stuff I bought will arrive and I will be able to build it, so... I'm not familiar with most of the things you have mencioned, but thx for the info anyway, i'll try to check it all and I hope you can see my first custom build soon, I'm so excited with it.

I haven't gotten too into either. Just changed Keycaps and switches, which you just pull off with a tool. Pretty simple, like keyboard Legos, and a good start to see what keycap profile you like, and what kind of switch with how much force/push back. I believe u/badmark has a YouTube channel Mech Tech with some videos where he breaks down how to do those, as they are most people's first step.

I'm practicing unmount and mount, soldering and undoldering, opening switches and lub it to in a 60€ keyboard, but thanks for the info anyway.

You're probably right, but there is something inside me that compels me to buy it hahahaha.

While I love SA profile, it's true that it can be a bit hard to type on it because of the eighth. But if you use a wrist rest, I find them super comfortable and easy to hit each keystroke no problem

Guess it's all about preference at the end of the day, but the looks are unbeatable imo
