Yeah, I have polyfil in my q2. I'm not a fan of the silicon in my v1

Silicon is what the processor is made of. Silicone is what was poured here

The Q series have bounce not flex. And tbh, so long as the PCB isn't pushing against the silicone it'll be fine

What do you mean by this? They're the same thing (at least from what I've seen).

1000% chance this keyboard wont bounce as much as it would without the silicone, and it doesnt need it unless theyre trying to mute the board.

If they didn't buy a spare plate there will be almost no flex at all. Maybe thats intentional though, I know I tried to go for a similar design with my Q5 & Anubis switches.

Bounce is where the entire pcb and plate assembly moves as one. Flex is where it can be more isolated to certain parts of it, without the whole thing moving.

For my Q6 I used poron foam I got from KBDfans for the KBD8x case (bought 2x and cut them), and I think it made a significant difference VS my Q5.

Silicone pour seem like an interesting mod tbat theoretically makes sense. Is there any give to this silicone? Are you concerned about the PCB being squished a bit? Very interested in your results!

The silicone is very thin overall. Less 3mm. The PCB isn't being squished. It's just enough to eliminate the ping I was hearing.

Yeah, I honestly love the Q5 & Q6. But my one real complaint was lackluster case foam. Swapping it for denser+thicker foam made a noticeable difference.

You could of just used force break mod and then less silicone but if it aint broke dont fix it

You need to level the keyboard first, so the silicone sets completely flat.

Bottom of the case floor is usually at a different angle to the PCB that sits when you put it together. So you need to make sure the pour sets at the same angle as the PCB, which is usually the same as the angle of the bottom case's walls. Completely dependant on keyboard and it's design though.

Looks like OP levelled with some foam and paper. You could ask OP what he used as a reference point.

You pour molding silicon in. You don't need a video. Just be aware of depth requirements.
