nevermind. i might just risk the PE foam and do the real deal. going to use the foam that was included in the packaging from the board.

Yes if I remember correctly. If it is between the pcb and plate it should be fine.

Really depends on what sound you want. It's supposed to give a "marbly" sound. My take on it is that PE foam usually comes with keyboard kits, so the material is already there for you to try it out. If you use it and find that the result isn't for you, just remove and find something else to mod the keeb.
