They're linear switches and although being cheap they're also considered pretty good. They're heavier than reds and, once lubed, very smooth too. I like the V1, it's a nice cheap keyboard with decent stabilizers and a pre-installed silicone sound dampener. All that said, I also own a Q3 which i consider vastly superior than the V1. The materials (Aluminum vs ABS Plastic) alone make it a better and more premium choice. Stabs are the same, which is fine as it is, especially if it's your first serious keyboard. Gasket Mount is what really makes me choose the Q series over the V: i like my kb to bounce a little, it feels more comfortable, and less stiff.

All that said, I really enjoy typing on the V1 and I will keep using it for a while, but i will eventually go back to my Q3.
