how are you liking the board so far? it'll be my first Tofu (though I ordered the Tofu65 2.0 because I have an addiction and need help).

Mine should arrive today or tomorrow!

I like it!!!!, I wanted to tofu65 too lol, I thought Tofu JR was like an improved version of tofu65 turns out it wasn't hahaha

And I accidentally bought the extra foam, it's a bit pingy/poppy with only single case foam, I tried to put another extra foam, it sounds better in my opinion

that's what I thought too, honestly. we were duped! but alas, it's another project to look forward to :)

I believe I got the extra foams too, by "mistake" because I thought I needed to, so that's good to know and I'll definitely pad it as much as possible to avoid that!

I put all the foams in for the QK65 I just built and I like the sound. it's got a sort of marble sound, definitely a little muted, but would like it maybe a little quieter. so I'm excited or anxious to see how the Tofu Jr turns out!

could also be a good excuse for a different type of build and just accept that the two boards will produce very different sounds.

Lmao indeed we were, but hey the quality of the board is amazing!!!, Yk at first I thought it was like a legit case foam, like how they did with blade60, instead it felt to me like a tapemod but with foam so yeah adding the extra foam makes it less hollow too although it's not that much of hollowness

I'm pretty sure it's just an excuse hahah, they only borrow the 'brand', but all and all if you think about it, tofu 2.0 just has more options on the mounting, I think the board itself is very similar, well except the bottom weight

That's good to know! I just ordered my Osume keycaps so when those arrive, I'll build out my Jr. So roughly in two weeks? Looking forward to it! And I know the 2.0 is roughly the same, but since I'm just getting into the space, I'm making the initial "investment" to expose myself to many different things to get a better feel for what my preferences are so in the future, I know "okay, if I'm looking for this and this, I should invest in this upcoming board."

There are just so many unknowns, but I do at least know I like a 65%, so I'll get Tofu rich lol. Curious to see how a carbon fiber plate performs...

If you love 65% you should checkout zoom65/qk65 if they're in stock, definitely must get 65% keyboard, yes I like 65% too, not too big not too small!!

Carbon fiber plate I think is more of a poppy(?), If you like poppy it's nice, but there are other ways to make board poppy too like tape+pe mod definitely make your board poppier

I just built a QK65 this past weekend and it's my daily driver currently. The Zoom65 V2 launches January 26th I believe. Then the Mode Envoy is at the end of the month.

And you better believe I will be collecting all of the 65%s I can lol

Haha, yeah!

Here's the page for the Zoom65 V2, Available January 26th:

And I believe you're correct about the Mode65. I'm sure someone will argue all of the many changes that come with the Envoy, but it's still the same Mode team behind it!

Mode Envoy, Available January 30th:
