Looks like a lumberjack. I have one as well and got my kit from https://keebd.com/en-us/products/lumberjack-5x12-ortholinear-keyboard-kit. The middle is microcontroller and associated circuitry for the keyboard. It's exposed for aesthetic purposes (a lot of people like the look of through hole electronics) and is covered by an acrylic plate that comes in the kit.

Interesting 🤔 Do you know of any kits that don't require soldering? So I could just get the switches and keycaps and be ready to go. I imagine it's going to be pretty expensive though...

Yeah, exactly what the guy above said. Honestly, with some practice and proper tools soldering is not too bad. The only hard part is the USB c port. There are sellers who will solder that for a fee. Not too sure but there is probably a subreddit where you can find someone to solder the board for you.

Lumberjack is my second ortholinear keyboard. I like the aesthetics and the middle part gives just enough space for me to be comfortable while typing. The other keyboard I have is a full split, iris. Just trying out a new keyboard.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen any in this style that don't require soldering.
