Nah the cablemod shilling is old hat.

It was a promo, like free? ..and they asked you to leave a positive post or comments? So they sunk cost into you making a post about their company?

There’s a word for that, I think it’s called advertisement

True, you are technically correct in that this is a public notice relating to a product for a company.

However, just because I'm posting about them and my positive experience doesn't mean I'm "shilling". I'm not telling anyone what to buy or trying to sway anyone one way or the other.

No need to be negative or make a big deal out of it. Just a thread on reddit of me being happy and thankful for something I have.
