It's a Portico68 set from TheKeyCompany they had a while back, but it's a plastic case compared to the metal one they have right now

Ahh, thought so, looked more opaque at first glance so I thought it was a white version of that and got excited. Great setup!

Not sure if I want the Razer viper ultimate v2 or save a few bucks and go for the Logitech G pro… I use a mac and Windows Computer. What do you think?

Depends on your grip style. The superlight imo is very comfy for browsing and for small hands. The viper ultimate is abit heavy for gaming imo.

The Viper Ultimate with the wireless charging dock is around $50 at BestBuy if you wanna try that

That's not the razer viper v2 tho That's the v1

Yup, but Viper V2 Pro is kinda pricy, and Viper Ultimate is 74g compared to G Pro's 80g as well as costing $60 (with the charging dock) at BB compared to the G Pro costing around $90-100.

You're comparing the two B class tiers of these gaming mouse, compare the viper ultimate v2 vs g pro superlight if you want to be realistic. Those other options are on sale so often because they're less desirable.

Oh I thought he was talking about the regular G Pro Wireless, not the Superlight. In any case, I still think that the Viper Ult is a good choice if he doesn't already own it since it pretty much has the same shape as the V2 Pro, but weighs quite a bit more.

Actually I thought about getting the Viper Ultimate v2 because of the Mac compatibility or the G pro OR G Pro superlight since I’m not sure if the super light weight is even an advantage or if I prefer a more heavier mouse maybe.

Seems like the Viper Ultimate (v1) has some issues with MacOS, but a lot of people linked this github thing (I don’t know if it’s safe aha) that lets you customize your Razer products: https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos

tonyI2345 t1_j597ckd wrote

Since I want to use it on my business laptop customizing wouldn’t be the best option for me. But thanks for the tip!

coffee_monee t1_j585rto wrote

By the way, have you tried the DeathAdder V2 Pro at all?

CTxVoltage t1_j58tkna wrote

Nah im still stuck with my Hyper X haste wired because I can't justify the extra $120 for a gpro wireless right now. I did have a wireless viper ultimate that I ended up gifting because it was too heavy and I wasn't a fan of how it felt almost like it was meant for my left hand.

I read that the Viper v1 isn’t compatible with Macs though. at least some functions aren’t working. that’s why I was thinking about the more expensive V2 with full compatibility.

coffee_monee t1_j590oon wrote

Yea looking over the Razer forums about MacOS, seems like there's a lotta issues.. However, BestBuy does now offer free shipping with no order min. and free returns, so maybe it's worth a try to see!

Actually looking over some Reddit posts about Synapse and MacOS, it seems like only Synapse 2 is fully supported by MacOS. However, according to this page on Razer's site, Viper Ultimate as well as Viper V2 Pro are not supported by Synapse 2.

tonyI2345 t1_j59794l wrote

Oh, thanks for the tip. I read somewhere that the V2 is fully supported. Will do some more research on it. Otherwise I guess the G Pro is the way to go for me…

If it's just for business, I think the G305 might be a good option too. Mine lasts forever. (the clicks are pretty loud tho)

I use a Mac and my daily driver is the Fantech Aria XD7. Egg shaped like Logitech G305 or Razer Orochi V3. Usb-C rechargeable, tri-mode connection and a 3390 sensor. Smooth like butter light like a feather

Barnson t1_j55lv3w wrote

So they are finally shipping? I'm so mad I didn't get the white one as well.

If you've got medium to smaller hands and prefer the claw grip, you have to try the orochi v2. Not rechargeable though. Only con for me.

time026 t1_j5z8jmi wrote

Big fan of the Orochi v2. Aria XD7 is worth looking at if you one something with a similar profile but a bit larger.

Hey hey. I just looked it up and that does look remarkably similar. Thanks!
