Nice looking board....but I'm confused... how is this is a KBD67, isn't there casework in the way of that bottom right CTRL button?

Yep, KBD67 case has a blocker beside the arrow keys. This is a tofu case with kbd67 pcb. https://reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/uons4j/_/i8fk10q/?context=1

What’s the purpose of the split space bar and additional alt key?

3

Malamonga1 t1_j4wcles wrote

most people use split spacebars for spacebar, backspace, and FN. Might be out of keycaps, might just use Alt more than FN.

Oh fair enough, I’m new to the whole keyboard thing so hadn’t really seen them much until now

Malamonga1 t1_j4wdqy3 wrote

it's actually very convenient since they're all very commonly used keys and easily accessible, though not enough people have adopted it for some reason.

Yeah I guess it depends on the usecase, personally I don’t really use the FN key but for those that do it would 100% make more sense

I am a big fan of Shenpo. Have a couple of their sets (square box/trays). Never had one that showed up wrong in any way.

They all have all the keycaps and no extras (sometimes you get repeats), impeccable dye-sub jobs, straight spacebars and thick walls. Great overall quality and QC and at a low price.

Only downside I can think of really is, well they only make beige sets.

It's missing the numeric keypad and function keys but, I understand you must have extremely limited space and a low budget.

Why in the world would you keep Caps Lock?

The first sentence is a bit of newbie move. Just wait untill you see 35% keyboard costing 300/400$ and being made just for the lolz.

Second sentence is actually some of the most accurate statements for 60% keeb owners ever.

You would never know in the world of QMK/VIA. OP could have just remapped it to another key.
