Will be doing a lot of travelling by train in the coming weeks so thought it would be a good idea to get some suggestions on albums of the past year I should have a listen to.

Hopefully this will help pass the time staring out the window

Edit: Thanks for the responses! Lots to go through. Feel I should add my own 5 as well

Sudan Archives - Natural Brown Prom Queen. Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future. Nilüfer Yanya - Painless. Craig Finn - A Legacy I’d Rentals. SIPHO - She Might Bleed (EP).

Jack White - ‘Fear of The Dawn’ and ‘Entering Heaven Alive’ are both incredible albums.

yes! still listening to both of them on a regular basis since they came out. Jack White already was among my favourite artists but then he dropped 2 perfect albums in one year like its nothing. Love both of them

I've got two here - one is a double and the other is a triple!

Quality Over Opinion - Louis Cole. It is quite an acquired taste and some of the songs on there are weak but the songs that are good are very, very good.

Empire Central - Snarky Puppy. These guys are basically jazz, rock, funk and world music in one huge explosion and it's awesome.

Both albums I would highly recommend :)

Gareth Emery - Analog

He's primarily an electronic (trance) producer, but on this album he mixes it up with more analog instruments. The music has quite a dreamy/nostalgic atmosphere and works really well for travelling.
