Obviously a major part of rap and hip hop are guests/cameos. While listening to Tenacious D’s Kickapoo, I started wondering about the best cameos in the other genres… ideally not a true 50/50 split, more like a part of a song like just a verse or chorus?
Think my favorite’s the legendary Dio in Kickapoo, though Meatloaf is great, too.

Right Turn might be a bit of a stretch for the criteria as Layne, Chris, and Mark split the verses up evenly, making Chris/Marks appearances less like a cameo and more of song sang by 3 guys. “Brother” and “Am I Inside” off the same EP feature Ann Wilson of Heart, which probably meets the criteria better.

Guess you’re right, most of the songs gorillaz do with other artists are full features. Still, it’s great to get a taste of the other artists. Come on, Elton John and 6LACK on the same song? I don’t think you’d see that from any other artist.
