There is no such place as "America", but it is often used as a short name for The United States of America. You should have offered North America and South America as options.

It’s interchangeable. Vinyl as a collective noun for records has been used for years

True, I do however feel that saying things like ‘check out my vinyl’ is what lead to the dark path of folks calling em ‘vinyls’ tho
