I doubt it. because music is not universal.

You’re right but this is a general sub and you’re gonna get a lot of dead brains here. Music is part of culture and cultural context is different everywhere, and if you hear something from a foreign culture that sounds familiar its because it’s been directly influenced by your culture or you’re misinformed by your cultural context.

I mean I probably would enjoy it. I listen to a ton of things. I feel I understand what you are trying to argue with cultural over universal. If it sounds nice what’s to stop you from enjoying it? I don’t need to understand German or Italian to enjoy some of my favorite songs or even French.

Culture does play heavily into what you’re exposed to as well as what kind of area you’re in. Once you have the means to explore though you can easily branch out to new things. Easier said than done for specific areas again.

I’m gonna look into what you recommended though, not to be salty I just feel I can find some bangers for while I’m at work.
