I've found quite a few who've ended up being some of my most-listened artists. I love unearthing completely underrated artists. There are so many!

Lovebites - 44.3K. That's gone up by about 15,000 since they started putting out new music in December - some US airplay has undoubtedly helped.

This was interesting to think about, b/c there are a lot of artists I thought would have fewer streams, and I thought Hot Snakes and The Birthday Party in particular would have way more.

PSA: Spotify’s recommendation algorithm has a “popularity” metric, basically 0-99 score from complete unknowns to Drake & Katy Perry.

It knows the average popularity of what you like and suggests things accordingly, so it sounds like the algorithm caught a killer hot streak with this level of artists for you 😁
