I’m worried NFR is going to be a difficult yardstick for any new album to measure up against. I don’t dislike Ocean Blvd, but it didn’t leap out at me the way NFR did. Even Blue Banisters got a little closer.

Yeah, I liked A&W and expected there to be more like that, but it just keeps going with the piano and whisky voice.

Just like any post-Ultraviolence Lana album (NFR excluded), I had to wade through this one a few times to pick out the 6-8 songs I like. But those 6-8 songs are fucking incredible and I'm so happy I get to hear them. I'm a Born to Die/Ultraviolence/NFR fan, so I'm not super hyped on the piano/string direction she's been going since after Ultraviolence. But I respect that she's making the music she wants to make and I'm always glad to hear new stuff from her.

Before covid every Lana's album was a new Era, has it's own sound and atmosphere. This post-covid Lana released 3 albums that sound like one loooong song. But yeah, artists are evolving.

My girlfriend loves this album and Lana in general. As a musician, I appreciate the ambiance and vibe of it, while Lana's voice itself is also great. The songwriting feels really good.

Super boring and uninspired. It’s work to get through her newest album. It’s as if she got addicted to being sad and ran out of ways to express it. She brought in people to sing with her and it detracts even more from Lana’s lack of artistic growth.

I hope she takes time off and reinvents herself. She is a magnificent talent.

You've got my up vote. Such a lethargic album.

It feels like her record label is buying her albums and paid bot farms to boost her Spotify numbers because I haven’t met a single person who listens to her albums. I’ve tried unsuccessfully to. Who is her demographic?

edit: Looks like the record label bots are downvoting me. LOL.

I think you're right. This is the 5th or 6th album review I have seen posted here.
