I am avid listener but i do not know the first thing about musical devices. I didn't even know Apple made wired earphones up until a few week ago! Don't judge me or do, Your call. But while you guys are at it you might as well tell me if it's worth the price.

So here's my case, I've recently been getting into rock recently and i feel i need better earphones also my older ones are barely hanging on to their life but I'm torn between wired and wireless. I perfornally prefer wire but I'm open to switch for a better audio quality

So an experiment i borrowed my friends and families' wireless earphone and unfortunately most of them were some or the other boAt model(except the apple folks, which is unaffordable for me)

Anyhow, (brace yourselves, a possibility controversial unpopular opinion is headed your way. Reader's discretion required). Anyhow all the boat rockerzz 6 something, 255z, airdopes 441 sounded same as my cheap ass wired zebronics earphones. Maybe it was the range but One plus buds Z were somewhat nice.

Now as i said before i do not know the first thing about musical devices until now i've used whatever i could steal from my brother's and whatever i could lay my hands on without a thought.

According to google wired are better because analog can tranfer more data than Bluetooth so sometimes the sound is transmitted without compression. I don't know a thing about transmission and data sizes. Soo help me decide and also drop your model suggestions for whichever (wire or wireless you choose)

Highest my budget would go is 3k.

TL;DR - prefer wired earphones but can switch to wireless for better sound quality. Want insight and model suggestions.

Wireless is for convenience. Wired headphones will always beat wireless in terms of sound quality assuming they’re around the same price.

Wired are always going to sound better, but that does depend on what device you're using for playback. If it's just off a phone, I doubt you'll hear much difference as you're limited by the phone's capability.

Tell me more. I'm not from a tech background Besides it's not really a popular pointer while buying a phone mostly all i look for is the basic- processor, battery, camera

Don’t forget that there are different methods of encoding and decoding music: if the source material is of low quality, it won’t matter what subsequent equipment you use, it will still sound pants.

For 3k (USD?) you should be able to get anything you like. Think about your use case; where will you use them (home, office, travelling), will you be consuming nor creating music as well (studio ones are always wired), can wireless ones be charged and used at the same time etc..

My Beyerdynamic ones are used daily, are very comfy but require an external DAC/amp when used with a ‘phone, which is fine for me but may be totally unsuitable for you.

Have a think about how you will use them, then get some reviews.

Ok; rest of the comment still stands. Work out what you will use them for and how, then seek reviews of those in your price range.

Just a popular electronics company in my country.

And apparently the fifth biggest wearable brand in the world whatever that means.

I use a pair of V-Moda crossfade wireless most of the time. You can use them wired as well. The wireless is obviously more convenient, but there is a noticeable difference in sound quality for the better when plugged in, with no worries about battery life. They really are great headphones. Tough, comfortable, with really good sound quality (If you like a more V-shaped equalizer sound signature by default). Downsides are the are a bit heavy and hot for long sessions with no sound cancelling.

Wired are better sounding. Wireless are more convenient. Sound source matters more. If listening to streaming lossy music (eg Spotify) then wireless is good enough since the audio quality isn’t great to begin with. Using lossless streaming service going through a decent DAC then it is a whole other story.

I use Apple Music (nowadays they have at the very least standard lossless sound) together with a Dragonfly DAC and wired headphones. That way I get decent sound while still not adding a lot of bulk.
