Okay to be fair I'm probably exaggerating for the sake of my own optimism, but I think it's probably safe to say that more young people aren't satisfied with popular music today than in past generations

I'll admit that some of these bands have been around since the 90s but some of them are as new as 2018. I'll also admit that a couple of them might be too heavy for your taste, particularly Gojira, The Ocean and Rivers of Nihil.
