please read all

i am tired of all music nowdays be so beat-focused even tho there is so much instrumental potential.

please people stop using beats for rythm.. u can do it with the instruments and you can even change the music pacing during the song. yes it requires more effort but at least the music nowdays wont be just "tun tun tix tan tan bam tux tux tun"... man synthetizer have so much potential to make good instrumentals for music that if u put beats on them it will ruin the song.

witch house is a genre i love a lot.. and whenever they make a song with no to almost no beat focus.. i can appreciate the song even more because the beat reset my attention on music everytime it happens, and the beats do little scares aswell making listening music with beats unbereable... if was just a few i wouldnt complain.. if was just half i wouldnt complain BUT IS LIKE 99%.

the intro of this song (till 0:42) https://youtu.be/qVIuH9SxMUA is the best example of a beatless rithm that sounds great

I just kind of feel like the term “beats” is pretty broad, like you don’t enjoy any beats? I feel like beats are pretty varied

And then on top of that I feel like most of the recent music I’ve been listening hasn’t had an emphasis on beats

I listened to some of that witch house stuff and you’re right it does seem pretty beat heavy but I just think that’s a genre thing, maybe try out different genres you could find something you like

Real question: is English your first or second language? 🤔

(Also. Try classical music. There are entire symphonies without "beats")

Gotcha. I could tell from your writing "accent"😜

There are genres of electronica without beats per se. Ambient music might be what you're looking for. Also some movie soundtracks are that. Synth based but not beat based. Also "spa" music.

Here's an ambient playlist I found on Spotify as an example. Check it out and see if you like that style.

But if any kind of beats/rhythms/drums in music have become very annoying sounding to you maybe you have a medical condition , like the one for people that can't hear the sound of other people chewing food without getting sick. Hopefully it won't last forever. Because most music is made with beats. And there's a lot of great music out there 😉
