I’m always torn between Superunkown and Badmotorfinger as my favorite Soundgarden album. But they are my favorite of the “grunge” bands.

I want to give a honorable mention shout to Mad Season (Above). I feel they get overlooked even though they were considered a “supergroup” like Temple or the Dog (also with a great album).

Unpopular opinion: I like the Mad Season record more than AIC. (SG is also my favorite of these bands, though.)
