For an artist as big as Rihanna to come back and release this Lift Me Up single for a movie that’s going to be filled with political agenda, I must say this is a new low. What do you guys think?

What does that have to do with the quality of the song. Music, movies, even comic books, have always brought up current events and “political agendas”. They used to have to be much more coded about it to get distribution. The right has been making all that over the years too, not our fault they suck at it.

I enjoy the song. I am also biased; I love Rihanna! Also, songs for movies/soundtracks are normally meant to be consumed along side the movie. It’s not meant to be on the top 100 or anything.

“As big as Rihanna”…she may not see herself as we do out in the crowd. If she did dedicate the song to Chadwick Boseman, that is really sweet.

She also makes music as a hobby. I’m thankful to hear her vocals again. I hope this means we may get a new album soon. 🥰.

All these years of waiting just to hear a lazy, faded, boring song.

Just from her, who when she broke away from the club dimension, was able to give us memorable, heart-breaking ballads. For example, "Diamonds" is still one of the coolest pop songs of the past decade.

the song is a total snoozer.

every year ppl choose another slow, boring, sad piano ballad to obsess over and act like it's the most emotionally profound music of all time, just to forget about it next year when the next one drops.

last year it was driver's license, this year it was easy on me, and next year you bet it's gonna be lift me up.
