I tend to listen to every instrument apart from each other after listening to the whole. But mainly I focus on the guitar. I was just wondering, where do you all focus on? The lyrics, the guitars, the bass, drums, the song as a whole? Do you switch your attention or keep your focus on one element?

when i first listen to a song? i listen to the melody and notes etc then the lyrics.
but sometimes ill just outright delete the song when i realize the lyrics give me bad vibes

3 examples:
money for nothing -drums at the begining then guitar riff most of the song
freebird - guitar solo
Rush Cowboybebop- sax or trumpet most of the song but bass at the beggining
this last one is a masterpiece you can filter any instrument you want an still sounds badass , when u listen to them all its just perfection

Ny focus switches every now and then from rythem guitar lead guitar vocals drums and bass and some of the songs I listen to have trumpets so trumpets and sometimes I listen to a song and focus on one element the whole time
When your happy you enjoy the music but when your sad you understand the lyrics, take a breath and let that sink in
