It’s the only song that scares me, like it actually makes me panic sometimes. I actually am terrified by the end instrumental sounds, like the silence before it creates such a tension. And the lyrics are haunting. Sometimes I just skip it because it actually gets me worried. I’m such a lil wimp.

I'm in my 60s now, but I first heard the song when I was about nine, and yeah, the first couple verses and the rising orchestra gave me the creeps. I got over it eventually.

"I am the Walrus" was also kind of eerie.

Strawberry fields is scarier to me. But they both speak to the loneliness and desperation of life.

If it makes you feel any better, I feel the same way about Strawberry Fields.

My favorite song of theirs by miles.

Never got scared by it though.

Brilliant album, frightening how they made it 😂 someone told me they made it in a house where someone died
