Angry “me too” music?

I’m a sexual assault survivor and the feelings are bubbling back up a lot. Recommendations for angry music about sexual assault? Doesn’t have to be by females but that would be nice. I like metal, punk, and alt a lot but all suggestions are welcome.

First off I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you & I wish you hope & healing for the shit you've had to go through & still are going through.

As for a few songs:

[Korn - Daddy] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQZodBV39F4) - Jonathan Davis was SA'd by his babysitter as a kid & his parents never believed him. The ending of the song is him breaking down & eventually his bandmates hugging him as they had no idea but just wanted to be there for their friend who was hurt.

Music can be very cathartic and I hope it is for you.

The song 'Asking For It' by Hole is about sexual assault.

I'm not sure if Courtney wrote it about her own assault, which she has publicly spoken about, or if it's about sexual assault in general.

Broken by Sleater-Kinney isn’t traditionally angry but it’s a very powerful song imo.

Face down by the red jumpsuit apparatus. Great alt rock song, catchy, upbeat, but touches on a very important subject matter obviously. The lyrics are pretty transparent about it, more about an abusive relationship than assault but i guess it could apply to assault too.

The song Presure Point by the Post Hardcore band, Heartist, is perfect. Male singer though, but angry, powerful, and clearly about someone who was sexually assaulted. That's the only song I can think of at the moment

I don’t think it’s about sexual assault but that feeling you described, of « rage bubbling back up » makes me thinks of Nine Inch Nails, especially the « Broken » Ep and the « Downward Spiral » album

Sorry to hear you are having to deal with the bubbling. Silent All These Years by Tori Amos hits the right spot and the first time I heard it was on a B side with the heart wrenching cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit, not long after Kurt passed.

Hope you’ve got someone to talk through where you’re at now. Say strong survivor.
