There's a whole subgenre of Prog Metal, like Dream Theater, Trivium, Mastodon, etc...

But my favorite newish prog rock would be King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's Polygondwanaland, Nonagon Infinity, and Murder of The Universe. (Their entire discography is so eclectic it'll give you plenty to listen to and not get bored)

Also Mars Volta's first album Deloused in the Crematorium is great as well as their new self titled album which is more mellow but amazing none the less.
