To each their own I guess, my apologies for coming across confrontational. Jazz music does nothing for me, although my experience with it is slim and John's my favorite guitar player so I must defend my boy! What is a Jazz band you recommend I check out to help expand my horizons?

No worries man, it took me many years to appreciate jazz.

A great place to start is the album “Kind of Blue” by Miles Davis. I tend to like the bebop piano style so pianists like Oscar Peterson, Red Garland, Benny Green, and Dave Brubeck are up my alley. Then you get to denser stuff like Thelonius Monk and Chick Corea, that’s pretty advanced jazz.

And that’s ok if it’s not up your alley, like I said it took for me playing it and really trying to learn jazz piano that got me into it.

Miles Davis, now there's a name I at least know of. I'll add a few songs by those names to my new music list. I appreciate you taking the time, who knows, I could be a jazz guy yet
