Our wedding is coming up this winter solstice!

I'm on the hunt for a beautiful song to walk down the aisle to

Any recommendations?

I definitely want something that would move everyone to tears

My favourite song of all time is probably Apocalypse by Cigarettes After S3x - we're using this as our 'private last dance' song and it's perfect for it

I also love acoustic & folk & indie stuff too

We have a harpist at cocktail hour and a Ceilidh band at the party (I adore fiddle music!)

Open to all ideas!

Thank you! šŸ–¤

I officiated a wedding last month and they chose a section of these lyrics as one of the readings.

Gonna get some hate for this, but listen to the acoustic version of The Real Thing by Gwen Stefani. I am not a fan of hers, but I am absolutely using this version of that song for the aisle walk (Or a band or singer to do it)

Higher Ground reprise by Odesza

Specifically the reprise though, the normal version is pretty poppy

Walking down the aisle: Four Tops - I can't help myself Alicia Keys - If I ain't got you Chris Brown - Forever Lionel Ritchie - Stuck on you Elton John - Your song

Reception: Morten Harket - Can't take my eyes off of you Elvin Bishop - Fooled around and fell in love George Michael - Careless whispers Spandau Ballet - True Lukas Graham - Love someone James Arthur - say you won't let go

Just a few crazy suggestions with a broad range of genres as well as generations so give them a listen they're all pretty good in my opinion
