One of my friends, she got to meet him in 80 when he was in New York, her dad hung out with him at one of the gay bars in New York at the time, and he popped over to her dad's place and she got to meet him.

She still has her dad's signed copy of The Miracle and A Night at the Opera. He also passed from HIV in 1992.
