I'm Gen X and Cinderella was a band I listened to back in the late 80s and early 90s. They were good but there are so many bands today that have talented musicians who play their own instruments. I am not sure what you are trying to say here.

I second your opinion. I've seen Tom Kiefer a couple of times in the last decade and he's definitely still solid as a performer.
I think Cinderella's main problem is that they were just another popular glam band in the glam era. The fact they were popular at all, and his name is still recognizable says something. And this is coming from an early 90s millennial who missed their prime rise to fame

Probably OP is saying that some (not all) musicians these days rely on backing tracks more often these days than bands did back then.
