What's your best advice when you find yourself blocked with the last verses of a song. Seems like nothing fit well... 🥲 Thank you!

Sometimes just leave it for a day or two, then take another look. Don't try to force it, but see it as part of the process where you're okay with not always completing stuff in one single go. Our minds can work a bit like an electric toaster - pop in the problem, and when the answer's ready it'll just pop back up. Oh, and keep writing regularly, coz greater experience will make it tons easier to find decent solutions.

Thank you! Precious advice! Today is my second day without touching the lyrics, tomorrow I'll see if something good happens, hopefully! 🤘🏼

Back in the day I used to keep a folder with bits and pieces of incomplete ideas. Every couple of months I'd dig it out and just casually try adding to some of them. Unfortunately I lost it during a house move; then I lost more stuff later which I'd saved in emails that got deleted... Luckily I still have my recordings of all the finished work!

I call it the puzzle piece method. Akin to dumping all your legos out to see them all before you start building. Fill a page with just words and phrases that connect to your songs theme. Don’t hold back, just let whatever pops into your head come out. If it’s not good you won’t use it later but write it down anyway. Now the page is full and you can start fitting things together. Find a main idea or try and connect a few different ideas. If things aren’t fitting, find a different way to say it. Use a Thesaurus app along with RhymeZone.com to find the most fitting way to word it. It’s work but it’s fun and rewarding!

Pure gold! So sure that's gonna be rewarding, thank you! Haven't heard of this method before and sound super interesting. So true that the less you judge your words initially, the better. Otherwise you block the creative process. Cheers!

Close your eyes and just listen feel the song and feel the beat find a flow and then work around the flow instead of trying to find lyrics first

Thank you, haven't try this. Normally I compose the lyrics at the same time I'm jamming with the guitar. This time is different coz I have already have all the music structure but I'll give it a try!
