I need new music in my life, I like anything really just not really country..I like some but it’s not something I enjoy. If you have some really good country songs il take a listen. I really like underground hip hop, edm, reggae, rock, alternative rock, oldies like the supremes, Paul Anka, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin but also just anything. I love finding new music and getting into new genres. Music is life and I need to expand my mind

If you like even remotely heavy music then you’ll like SOAD’s Toxicity and/or Trivium’s Shogun

Papadosio - Snorkle (Live)

If you arent into live music they have album versions of course. Their live versions of this song are like 20 mins but Snorkle on the album is 7 mins. It's great to relax, study, work to and they have a massive catalog.

Figured if you like rock and EDM you might dig it

Genre is called Jamtronica and their live sets are insane. They have a dedicated member of their team to making lightshows and visuals

If you dig the genre let me know and I'll load you up some recommendations. If you like lyrics more check out this song in the same genre Disco Biscuits - Portal to an Empty Head drums are amazing on this

I always think that as a genre Jamtronic is slept on

Psychedelic rock, garage rock, jazz/jazzy rock, hard rock, thrash metal, 60s-ish pop rock: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. 100% top of my list to check out, they do so many different things well.

Sour Soul by Ghostface Killah and BADBADNOTGOOD is a great rap album that doesn't get enough love.

Definitely not underground but Black Star by Mos Def and Talib Kweli is top tier.

Joey Bada$$' first mixtape 1999 is worth a listen

I've been on a Neil Young kick recently. Southern Man has an interesting history and that got me digging more into his back catalogue. I'd start with his greatest hits honestly.

Måneskin is a great. They cover various sub genres of rock and are continuing to improve with each and every release.

Prophets of Rage are a great combo of rap and hard rock. It’s members Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, and Rage Against The Machine, it’s amazing.

Have you listened to some electronic music? I would really recommend Luke Vibert and I’ve really started to love DnB as well so I’d always recommend that. There’s this great channel called „Ambiance“ that just uploads DnB mixes and similar stuff

I like these ones in particular

https://youtu.be/r8SASJoZNow

https://youtu.be/JK8ilaPZbKE

https://youtu.be/T_-jjh2sX4Q

https://youtu.be/Yc5iPDvmEpE

if that stuff isn‘t your cup of tea though and you want something more interesting I‘d always recommend some Warp Artists like Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Squarepusher.

90s grunge, smashing pumpkins, alice in chains, nirvana, sonic youth. For more modern stuff been really loving The Front Bottoms (especially talon of the hawk). All time favorite is Frank Turner, recommend Tape Deck Heart first. Awesome mix of punk influenced folk music.

You might get good additional answers there. Good luck!

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime. The whole album is a linear story that circles back to the beginning.

Born of Osiris - Angel or Alien. They have a few good songs including Machine and Poster Child.

Poppy - Play Destroy. Poppy is known for being a bit creepy.

Mindless Self Indulgence - Shut Me Up. MSI has a few good songs, mostly NSFW: Audio such as B-tches and Holy Sh-t.

Portishead - Sour Times. Portishead is downtempo trip hop. Glory Box and Roads are also pretty good tracks.

Poe - Angry Johnny came out around the same time as Portishead.

I’m not into country either but I got a killer country song about cocaine use from a young wildly successful singer songwriter. Do yourself a favor and listen to it and/or read the YouTube comments. I’ll copy paste 2 YouTube comments at the bottom, one from an Irish guy and one from a black guy.

This live solo version is way better than the album version.

Tyler Childers - “White House Road”

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oOIJecsnaWg

YouTube comments:

“As an Irishman I can confirm. This made me want to become an American gunslinger in 1847. Spitting out tobacco and walking out of the saloon for a gunfight over land that my father gave me. Love from Ireland”…..

”I’m from North Carolina I’m African American and I love his music my friends look at me crazy when I play him in my truck I always tell them you don’t like it you can walk”
