I heard an ad for a podcast that only covers music released in 1992. So I googled it and this list is impressive.

  1. Alice In Chains - Dirt

  2. Stone Temple Pilots -Core

  3. Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

  4. Rage Against The Machine (self titled)

  5. Blind Melon (self titled)

I'd go for the Cure, REM, or Ministry over Morrissey but overall pretty close to what my top 5 would be.

  1. REM - Automatic For The People
  2. Tom Waits - Bone Machine
  3. Leonard Cohen - The Future
  4. Steve Forbert - The American in Me
  5. Lyle Lovett - Joshua Judges Ruth

It was very hard to keep it at 5. 1992 was a great year for music. I left a lot of albums off that were in heavy rotation in my house.

Coincidentally, heroin was also really big around that time. I've seen it suggested as a major contributing factor to the exceptional quality of music.

That was a week year for my tastes. I had to look it up because I don't think I've bought any or listen to any metal during that time. Just my old '80s standby favorites. I'd choose Pantera if I had to pick one. Vulgar Display of Power can of on 1992. Some of the bands I like had albums out. Testament, Venom, Megadeth. But I never listen to any of them except countdown to Extinction and not crazy about that one.

Any metal heads here, let me know if anything was good in 1992. I'll give it a listen.... Maybe :) I really might. I just listened to Testament for the first time early this year. I really like a lot of their albums.
