Swift reportedly rejected the NFL’s offer so she can focus on re-recording her Big Machine albums

The Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show takes place on Sunday, February 12, 2023, and despite rumors, Taylor Swift will not be performing at the Arizona event, TMZ and People report. According to TMZ, Swift was asked to perform at the NFL’s show, but declined the opportunity so that she can continue the process of re-recording her back catalog.

Super Bowl LVII takes place at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium. This past February, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak performed during the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show in Inglewood, California.

The Super Bowl halftime show will follow the October 21 release of Taylor Swift’s new album Midnights. The new LP will follow the musician’s Red (Taylor’s Version), Fearless (Taylor’s Version), and Evermore.

I’ve read the comments, and the two best are GWAR and Weird Al.

“GWAR with special guest Weird Al”

It's getting late.. the only remaining Bowl options are a Christian KISS cover band going by "HUGZ" and a part-time busker from North Dakota who mostly does polkas...

At least after the 2022 halftime; they’ve got no where to go but up

How about a super gay artist with dancers dressed with only short shorts, shoulder pads and a helmet grinding each other for 45 minutes?

May be an unpopular opinion, but I think blink 182 would be a great pick.

Even if we weren’t joking and he wasn’t an open anti Semite, he can barely perform anymore. That thing he did with drake, the benefit concert, was his best in years and he still was out of breath, barely able to rap his verses for most of it. The music is great, but he’s old and tired and entering crazy bigoted grandpa mode.

It’s amazing to me that the people who run the NFL don’t realize that most people who watch football are either Rock or Rap fans, not many are anything else.Of course I guess the Super Bowl caters to more than just football fans

What better way to celebrate American football than by having French metal legends Gojira play the halftime show?

I can see it now, Elton John making foot-ball jokes as banter between songs. “Where’s the goal posts? Boys, I don’t think this field is regulation size. Silly Americans. Anyway, here’s tiny dancer.”

I think rock is weird because it’s like I don’t know anyone on the planet that doesn’t like a single rock song,it’s literally the most mainstream genre out there but for whatever reason the media likes to pretend that it’s not.

Here's an idea...

Why don't they try getting an actual band that plays instruments again. Like that unbelievable string of talent they had in the Super Bowls of the 2000s. I swear that after the horrible performance by What's Left of The Who in 2010 (Daltrey sounded like he was dead, honestly) they must have made some decision to never have a show that wasn't all taped and/or autotuned horseshit ever again. But I would say 12 years of that garbage is more than enough.
