Big band era, crooner, coolest cat in the joint, amazing voice! More jazzy than Sinatra, and a much better singer.

Easy listening. That kind of music was the pop music of the 40s to the 60s. Dozens of similar people out there. Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Perry Como, Doris Day to name a few.
