Does it have to be recent?
Bettie Serveert - Palomine from 1992 is my all time favourite album from The Netherlands.
It's jangly indie rock/pop with female vocals (without a hint of potato-english) and Neil Young-ish lead guitars. It's perfect in its imperfectness.

Amazing. Thank you! And no, I didn’t have a time frame in mind.

Brito - This Wave is Only for the Good Hearted.
Also Netherlands. Groningen to be specific. Math rock/screamo, but not brutal / intimidating / scary.

Ah, they quit in 2012, which is the time I started diving into the local scene.
