Personally, I think MLB the show always has solid soundtracks, but for me, their first year MLB 06 The Show is the best. Every time I hear any of these songs, I'm instantly thrown back to that summer in Jr High simming games in franchise mode at my friend's apartment all day long instead of getting any sun lol
While NBA 2k and Madden tend to lean mostly into pop and hip hop, 06 The Show had a good amount of alternative and other rock-adjacent tracks that are killer. Going Through Changes by Army of Me, Everything is Alright by Motion City Soundtrack, and 10 AM Automatic by the Black Keys just to name a few are all bangers and make me think of baseball every time.
