Does anyone have good recs like Ptolemaea by Ethel Cain screams? I've seen some people ask and I've been digging through trying to find similar things but nothing quite hits the nail on the head.

I'm looking for music with women screaming - not metal screaming, not just a little yelly, I'm talking full chest scream like Ethel's STOP.

Phoebe Bridger's has a good one near the end of I know the End, Mitski fits in drunk walk home, girl pusher in where the fuck is my ambulance.

I'm not looking for the same "vibe" the music/sound can be different, I'm just looking for that feminine rage scream specifically.

TIA 🖤

While we're on Pink Floyd, there's Careful with that Axe, Eugene, which sounds like it features a screaming woman, even though it's just Roger Waters doing his thing... An early title for that song was "Murderistic Women".

Give Diamanda Galas a try. Her Plague Mass album, and other works are rife with it.

Skinny Puppy “Brap” also has samples of screaming (from a horror film I think).

Lingua Ignota or Pharmakon are bands that have harsh female screaming. If you want more punk then Otoboke Beaver.

These artists of course have other songs that have screaming, but I’ll list my favorites I guess. (Hopefully these are close to what you’re looking for)

Poppy- Scary Mask WILLOW- naïve Flyleaf- I’m So Sick Paramore- All I Wanted

I’m not sure :/ might be considered metal screaming idk tho

Stretch by Maximum Joy. Not sure if that's enough screaming, but it can give you quite a jump if you're not prepared. I enjoy it because the intensity of the scream "stretches" the listener's preconceptions of what a happy, danceable song should sound like :)
