Like a lot of bands and musicians who released music this year, The Cult faced recording challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, that didn’t stop the band from recording one of their best albums yet. Though shorter than most contemporary album releases, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy have gone for quality over quantity, continuing to push the envelope while paying homage to the nostalgic sound of their early years. After all, the album was recorded in the same studio where they recorded their debut album, Dreamtime, back in 1984. The only other album released this year that I listened to more than this one was RHCP’s Ultimate Love, and that’s saying a lot. If you’re not already Cult fan, do yourself a favor and set aside 35 minutes to listen to this... and if you are a Cult fan, you know the drill.

I hope The Cult someday ends up on the r/music Hall of Fame list, because they sure deserve to be up there.
Edit: Fixed a typo... somehow Billy got typed as Brian. Thanks to u/Not_quite_me for catching it.

Man, they’re still awesome and one of my favorite all-time bands. When I heard Electric the first time, was like each song got better and better. I have seen them in concert many times back in the day & actually caught them again just a few years back, a really small venue and actually won the tickets off a radio station (pre-Covid) and they were fkkn great. I’ve heard a few songs from this release, it is good, I wholeheartedly agree!
