Hi all. I'm looking recommendations for more music in what I'm calling the Tea and E aethestic, ie songs you'd have a cup of tea to on a bright Sunday after a Friday night clubbing and a Saturday recovering! Very 90s and very English, mainly female fronted. Obvious touchstone is St Etienne, but also One Dove, Dubstar, Intastella. What else fits? Is there's anything more recent with an adjacent aesthetic? What's the equivalent in other countries?

Thanks very much. I've heard and liked The Beths before but they're not quite what I'm looking for, because they're more straight-ahead indiepop without much in the way of the club/dance/dub context which is what I'm looking for here.

Stretching an already stupid phrase, if One Dove are "Tea and E", The Beths are probably just"Tea"

Two great shouts. Thankyou!

I think at the time I thought I was too cool for Everything But The Girl but you're right, they definitely fit.

And yes, absolutely spot on toBlack Box Recorder. Haven't played them for ages so will put England Made Me on when I get home.
