Do you know any bands that have the same folksy vibe but still have that sense of larger than life in their music, that may be could be interested in being featured in a solid indie movie without it costing a gazillion dollars?

Go to youtube music and type in the lumineers. Then play "Radio". Or go to Bandlab and look there. Also, look up royalty free music on Google.

Not sure what you mean by larger than life but those strike me as smaller folky bands.
